Communication issues are among the most common laptop problems, especially when you're trying to use your laptop wirelessly. The first thing you'll want to do is try restarting the network adapter. You can do this by uninstalling the network adapter then restarting your computer. Once it restarts, reinstall it and try connecting again!

If that didn't work, your next step is to check to see if there are any devices broadcasting a wireless signal nearby. If there are, turn them off and see if that helps! Problem:

Laptop is not connecting to wifi. Ask for help if any of the following are true:

-Only getting limited service when laptop is plugged in.   -Wireless connection randomly cuts in and out, or has low signal strength even though it's close.  -Wireless device won't connect to your home network at all, even after you've reset router and changed wireless settings on your laptop (or other wireless device).  -You can't get an Internet connection on your wireless device but have a good cable/Ethernet connection.

-Your computer says "Limited or No Connectivity" and there are no signs of a good Internet connection in the air around you (e.g. wireless access point lights are off, neighbors aren't surfing the Web).  -You've tried to connect wirelessly and gotten limited or no service using a different wireless device.
